  • Responsible for business mainly related to automobile/parts manufacturing at the Sumitomo Corporation Automotive Business Division. Involved in numerous projects, including the export of automotive parts, automobile factory construction, overseas expansion support, and the commercialization of auto parts manufacturing.
  • Overseas work experience includes India (New Delhi), Iran (Tehran), and Mexico (Monterey, Mexico)
  • Temporary assignment to a Sumitomo Corporation-affiliated auto parts manufacturer.
  • June 2013 - Appointed Executive Vice-President of SC-ABeam Automotive Consulting.
  • May 2014 - Appointed President & CEO of SC-ABeam Automotive Consulting.

Principal - Hideyuki Kawamura

  • A “driving enthusiast” who has owned 5 manual transmission cars (out of 6 in total) since obtaining his driver’s license.
  • Engaged in finished vehicle/CKD trade, ODA, and automobile wholesale business for Africa and the Middle East at Sumitomo Corporation Automotive Business Division.
  • Overseas work experience includes Côte d'Ivoire (Abidjan), Kenya (Nairobi/twice in total), Nigeria (Lagos), Cambodia (Phnom Penh), and Laos (Vientiane) (concurrently).
  • Temporary assignment to overseas automobile distributors.
  • May 2017 - Appointed Principal of SC-ABeam Automotive Consulting.

Senior Manager - Akiko Narita

  • Engaged in the export/intermediary trade of railway vehicle parts in the Ship & Aerospace Business Division of Sumitomo Corporation.
  • Subsequently transferred to Automotive Business Division. Gained experience in corporate management while involved with operational management of manufacturing subsidiaries.
  • December 2014 - Temporarily assigned to SC-ABeam Automotive Consulting as a Strategist.

Strategist - Yusuke Awai

  • In charge of business development and logistics planning in the auto parts/logistics department at a general trading company. Overseas work experience in both Singapore and India.
  • Participated in the 2015 ABeam Consulting Manufacturing & Consumer Business BU.
  • Engaged in business and organizational reform in the purchasing, shipping, and sales areas for automobile tire manufacturers, as well as auto parts manufacturers.
  • April 2018 - Temporarily assigned to SC-ABeam Automotive Consulting as a Strategist.

Strategist - Yasufumi Kuse

  • Responsible for domestic and overseas business transactions, contract negotiations, litigation support, and compliance work in the Sumitomo Corporation Legal Department.
  • Subsequently involved with overseas subsidiary management and exports for passenger vehicle retail business and commercial vehicle wholesale business at the Automotive Business Division.
  • May 2018 - Temporarily assigned to SC-ABeam Automotive Consulting as a Strategist.

Associate – Tae Umino

  • In charge of finished and knock-down vehicle trading in the Sumitomo Corporation Automotive Business Division.
  • Subsequently assigned to an automotive specialized investment fund management company. In addition to organizational management, also responsible for due diligence on investment candidates, hands-on support for businesses that had already received funding, and practical business support during the exit phase.
  • April 2013 - Appointed Associate at SC-ABeam Automotive Consulting.

Associate – Yuka Azami

  • Since joining Sumitomo Corporation, consistently in charge of business related to automobile manufacturing. In addition to taking part in several local construction projects, as well as exporting various kinds of manufacturing machinery such as presses, paint, and assemblies mainly to the Indian and European markets, also responsible for parts manufacturer expansion support and handling transactions involving related components and equipment. Was able to overcome difficulties and successfully complete many projects with the support and cooperation of affiliated manufacturers.
  • December 2014 - Appointed Associate at SC-ABeam Automotive Consulting.
